Choosing hardware is easier when you have the right information in front of you. That is why we have put together this page for Privacy Nets/Security Net. Whether you are a home owner in Nairobi, a farmer upcountry or a contractor working somewhere in Kenya, the aim is the same: to help you pick the right item the first time and avoid the stress of going back and forth. Let us go through it together, step by step.

What you get

Here is the description we have for this item: Privacy Screens add durable sun and wind protection to balconies, terraces and garden areas. With.... This is the information that came with the product, so use it as your main guide. If you need a detail that is not listed here, such as an exact size or a specific material, please ask before you buy. It is always better to confirm than to guess, especially when the item has to fit with things already installed in your house.

Buying in Nairobi

Many of our customers are busy contractors and project owners who want clear prices and honest product information without wasting time. That is what we try to give on every product page. You can visit our Homabay Road or Vision Plaza showroom from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. For buyers in other counties, the online shop lets you look at everything in your own time, then reach out to confirm availability.

Keeping it clean

Cleaning depends on what the item is made of. Use a soft cloth and mild soap for regular cleaning unless the product instructions say otherwise. Avoid harsh chemicals and rough scrubbers until you know they are safe for the surface. Dust and mud are common on building sites and farms, so clean the item after heavy use. If anything becomes loose or stops working well, ask a fundi to check it as soon as you notice.

Matching the rest of the job

Many of our customers in Nairobi like a clean and simple look, while others go for something bolder. There is no wrong choice, it is about what you like and what suits your home. Just keep in mind that screens show colours differently, so the item may look a bit lighter or darker in real life. Compare it with nearby products in the Fencing & Security section to see a few styles side by side.

Is it right for you?

People buy items like this for different reasons. Some are replacing a broken one, some are building from scratch, and others just want a fresh look. Since it is part of our Fencing & Security range, compare it with the other options there before you decide. Ask yourself a few simple questions. Where exactly will it go? Who will use it? Does it need to match anything else? Your answers will tell you quickly if it is the right one.

Money matters

We list prices in Kenya Shillings so you can plan easily. When working out your budget, include labour, any extra accessories and the cost of getting the items to site. If you are buying in bulk for a building project, talk to us about your full list. Note that this page is not a statement about stock, payment terms or delivery, so confirm those details when you order.

Fitting it properly

Get your fundi involved early, even before you pay for the item. They can tell you if the product will work with your current setup and what else might be needed for the job. Do not assume that fixings, accessories or fuel are included unless the listing says so. Plan the work properly, wear the right safety gear, and keep the packaging and receipt until everything is working.

Check the size before you buy

Sizes matter more than most people think. A product can look perfect in a picture and still be a little too big or too small for your site, wall or floor. So measure twice and buy once, as the old saying goes. If your fundi is around, ask them to take the measurements with you. They will know which points are important for this type of item and can spot problems early.

Where to read more

Some buyers like to do their own research, and that is a good habit. Two helpful Kenyan sources are the Kenya Bureau of Standards and the National Construction Authority. You will find general information about standards and building there. Please note that linking to them does not mean they have tested or approved this product.
