Working with your fundi

Get your fundi involved early, even before you pay for the item. They can tell you if the product will work with your current setup and what else might be needed for the job. Do not assume that fixings, accessories or fuel are included unless the listing says so. Plan the work properly, wear the right safety gear, and keep the packaging and receipt until everything is working.

The details we have

The short version is this: Privacy Screens add durable sun and wind protection to balconies, terraces and garden areas. With.... That is what we can tell you for sure. We do not want to add things that are not confirmed, so you will not find made up measurements or big promises here. If you need more, for example the weight, the exact finish or what comes in the box, just ask us first. A simple question now can save you a wasted trip later.

Where it fits best

People buy items like this for different reasons. Some are replacing a broken one, some are building from scratch, and others just want a fresh look. Since it is part of our Fencing & Security range, compare it with the other options there before you decide. Ask yourself a few simple questions. Where exactly will it go? Who will use it? Does it need to match anything else? Your answers will tell you quickly if it is the right one.

Take measurements first

Before you buy, take a tape measure and note down the space where the item will go. Write the numbers on paper or on your phone so you do not forget. Check things like the length, width, thickness and how many pieces the job really needs. Do not judge the size from the photo alone because pictures can be misleading. If the size is not given in the description, ask us to confirm it.

Keeping it clean

Cleaning depends on what the item is made of. Use a soft cloth and mild soap for regular cleaning unless the product instructions say otherwise. Avoid harsh chemicals and rough scrubbers until you know they are safe for the surface. Dust and mud are common on building sites and farms, so clean the item after heavy use. If anything becomes loose or stops working well, ask a fundi to check it as soon as you notice.

Money matters

Every project has a budget, big or small. Compare the price of this product with similar ones in the Fencing & Security section to see what fits your pocket. The cheapest option is not always the best value, and the most expensive is not always necessary. Think about how often the item will be used and how easy it will be to replace. Then pick the option that gives you peace of mind.

Matching the rest of the job

Looks matter too, especially for flooring, decking and finishes that people see every day. Try to match this item with the colour and style of other materials on the same job. A shade that looks good on its own may clash with what is already in place. Remember that the photo is a guide and real colours can look slightly different. If you need an exact match, please ask us to confirm the finish first.
